I was born in Lucerne, Switzerland, and lived there until I was 7 years old when my family moved to Ocean City, MD. Since an early age, I was always interested in art whether it be drawing, painting, sculpting, or anything in between. As I grew older my passion for art became infused into almost everything I did so when it came time for me to decide what I wanted my future career to be I thought I was going to be an artist. But as I thought about it more and more, I realized that I wanted to be able to apply art in a nontraditional setting and that was when marketing drew my attention. Through marketing, I hope to use my artistic abilities through advertising and use my creativity to solve different business problems. When deciding on a scholar's program the leap to the Media, Self, and Society program only seemed natural because of the immense impact that social media has on business and how much of an impact art has on media posts, one's self, and society as a whole. As I continued on my academic journey I learned about the impact that the law has on media, business, and society. I plan to expand my knowledge in the legal setting by attending law school where I will use my creativity to approach legal issues in unique ways and create a lasting impact.
